Six-O-Five Special
BMO Harris Bank Center
Rockford, Illinois
Saturday December 9th, 2023

Announcers: Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall

Backstage Interviewer: Kellie Burkowski

Ring Announcer: Heather Cooper

“Hello and welcome to a special 90 minute MVW Six-O-Five show… LIVE from the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Illinois!” Thunderbolt said, standing in the center of the ring along with ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall.

The atmosphere within the BMO Harris Bank Center was buzzing with excitement. The jam-packed arena was filled with a palpable energy that seemed to electrify the air. Fans held up homemade signs and cheered enthusiastically, showing support for their favorite wrestlers. Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall stood tall in the ring, relishing the enthusiasm of the crowd and exchanging knowing grins.

“Tonight, we’ve got five matches,” Thunderbolt continued.  “Rick Hall.  Tell us about them.”

“Thanks Thunderbolt,” Hall said. “Our opening match is a match MVW majority owner Ray McAvay announced Tuesday night on Wrestling Night in the Heartland… a three-way elimination match between Luke Woods, John O’Reilly, and Ricky Stevens… the winner will challenge ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson December 17th at Night of Champions for the MVW title.”

The crowd erupted again, standing and making a lot of noise.

“Next, we have the first of FOUR Carmondy Cup semi-final matches,” Hall continued.  “We’ve got the Masked Texan… the Cinderella story of the tournament going up against the Kentucky Redneck Mafia’s Cletus T. Johnson… Cletus will be accompanied to the ring by Dawn McGill.  Next, the first of two women’s semi-final matches as the ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin goes up against Amberley Stanton.  Then it will be Victoria McGill and Tammie Hardy locking horns in the ring in the second Women’s tag team semi-final.”  Rick shifted his feet and went on.  “Then in our main event… the MVW champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson will meet High Octane Wrestling Hall of Fame member Scott Stevens in the Carmondy Cup semi-finals.

“All right, we will go right to the ring for our first match of the night,” Thunderbolt announced.  “Heather Cooper, take it away.”

MATCH #1-3-WAY ELIMINATION MATCH: Luke Woods vs. John O’Reilly vs. Ricky Stevens
“Thanks Thunderbolt,” Heather said.  “All right, our first match is going to be a three-way elimination match with the winner facing MVW champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson for the title at Night of Champions!”

She paused for audience reaction.

“Ricky Stevens had a real good match with Bill Dickinson on Tuesday night,” Hall said. “John O’Reilly knocked off Cletus T. Johnson… also on Tuesday night.  Luke Woods is the number one contender and he will have a title shot on January 23rd should he not win this match.”

“All right, here we go,” Thunderbolt said as the match began.

“Ricky Stevens is counted out!” exclaimed Thunderbolt.

“Luke Woods tossed Ricky out first,” Hall said, reviewing the end of the match.  “Then Woods through O’Reilly out.  Ricky and O’Reilly tangled with Stevens being left on the floor and unable to beat the 10 count.”

“We are down to two men now- Luke Woods and John O’Reilly,” Thunderbolt told the viewers.  “The winner goes to Night of Champions.  We’ll find out who that will be right after these commercial messages.”

High Octane Wrestling

The crowd erupted into a frenzy of cheers and applause, their excitement palpable. Thunderbolt’s voice boomed through the speakers, barely audible above the noise, as he declared, “LUKE WOODS! Luke Woods takes the win!”

After a grueling battle, Woods finally released his signature Arm Octopus Hold on O’Reilly, causing him to crumple to the ground in defeat. Amidst the chaos, Mr. McMann’s distinguished figure appeared at ringside. The ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ had been instrumental in shaping Woods’ successful career, and the two shared a special bond. As they embraced in celebration, commentator Hall chimed in, “Big win for Luke Woods tonight. But John O’Reilly certainly made him work for every bit of it.”

As Woods reveled in his hard-earned victory, Thunderbolt announced that he would be facing MVW champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson at Night of Champions next week. The anticipation in the air was electric, with fans eagerly awaiting another epic match between these two fierce competitors.

Meanwhile, O’Reilly slowly trudged up the ramp behind his manager Stevens and McMann, his face etched with disappointment and dejection. He knew he would have to train even harder to come back stronger in his next match.

“One match down,” Thunderbolt exclaimed. “But there are still four more to go tonight. We’ll be back after these commercial messages.” With that, the cameras cut away to advertisements as the crowd continued to buzz with excitement and anticipation for the rest of the night’s events.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the special Six-O-Five show. Give a round of applause for our victor, Luke Woods, who will be facing off against ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson next Sunday at Night of Champions for the MVW title,” boomed Thunderbolt’s voice over the loudspeakers.

The arena erupted into cheers as the spotlight shone on MVW’s ring announcer, Heather Cooper. She stood in the center of the ring, a vision in her sparkling sequined dress that dazzled under the bright lights.

“Thank you, Thunderbolt,” Heather greeted with her signature smile. “And now, it’s time for our first Carmondy Cup semi-final match. Are you ready for some exhilarating action?”

The crowd roared in response, eager for the upcoming bout.

MATCH #2: CARMONDY CUP MEN’S SEMI-FINAL: The Masked Texan vs. Cletus T. Johnson
“One fall to decide the winner,” Heather announced dramatically. “And let’s not forget, this is a Carmondy Cup match.”

She paused to let the significance sink in before continuing.

“So without further ado, please welcome our competitors!” Heather’s enthusiastic voice filled the arena as she introduced each wrestler and their entrance music blared through the speakers. The crowd’s excitement grew with each name called out, filling the air with chants and cheers.

“All right,” Thunderbolt said as the energy level ramped up inside the BMO Harris Bank Center.  “The Masked Texan has been the story of the Carmondy Cup.”

“That’s right, Thunderbolt,” Hall interjected.  “The Masked Texan’s Carmondy Cup run started at Round one back in September.  He has defeated six men to get to this semi-finals including Captain Jack and Ricky Stevens.”

“Cletus T. Johnson is finishing his singles run before he jumps back into the MVW Tag Team Division with his brother Enos T. Johnson to reform the Kentucky Redneck Mafia,” Thunderbolt explained.  “Cletus defeated Luke Woods and John O’Reilly to get to the semi-finals.”

“JOHNSON IS COUNTED OUT!” The announcer, known as Thunderbolt, bellowed into the microphone. The crowd erupted in cheers and jeers as the Masked Texan stood victorious in the ring.

“He’s going to the finals, Thunderbolt!” Hall said excitedly, trying to be heard over the deafening noise of the audience.

Thunderbolt continued his commentary, “The Masked Texan will face either MVW champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson or fellow Texan Scott Stevens Tuesday night in the Carmondy Cup finals.”

Kellie Burkowski, a determined young reporter, climbed into the ring to try and interview the enigmatic wrestler.

“Masked Texan,” Kellie began, but was immediately cut off by the wrestler’s confident voice.

“Kellie, when I win the Carmondy Cup Tuesday night,” The Masked Texan spoke with conviction. “I will explain everything.”

With that, he rolled out of the ring and made his way back up the ramp.

“There you have it,” Kellie turned back to address the camera. “Back to you, Thunderbolt.”

“Thanks Kellie,” Thunderbolt took over. “Rick?”

“I’m curious about who The Masked Texan might be,” Rick replied, adding to the tension of the situation. “I hope we find out Tuesday night.”

As advertisements played on screen, Thunderbolt stepped back in for one last comment before the next match began. “Up next is ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin versus Amberley Stanton. Stay tuned for all the action here at MVW Wrestling.”

“I think this could be a good one,” Hall related to the viewers. “Amberley is younger and Tess has a lot of experience.”

“Here we go!” Thunderbolt said as the bell rang.

Amberley grinned as referee Bailey Daniels raised her arm in victory.

“Big time performance from a young wrestler on the rise,” Hall said. “Tess gave it her all but Amberley rose to the occasion tonight.”

Thanks Rick,” Thunderbolt stepped in.  “We will be back with our final two matches after these commercial messages.”

“Tori McGill defeated Women’s Champion Jennifer Colton in the quarterfinals last weekend,” Rick Hall said. “Tammie Hardy upset Women’s Heartland Champion Kirsten Canfield and then ‘The Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot to get to the semi-finals.”

“We’re ready to go,” Thunderbolt said.

“HARDY IS COUNTED OUT AND TORI McGILL GOES TO THE FINALS!” Thunderbolt shouted over the roaring crowd as the ring announcer’s voice echoed throughout the arena.

“Tammie Hardy got slammed out of the ring by McGill,” Hall explained, his voice full of awe. “And then she was attacked by not one, but two opponents – Prisoner #034291 and Jill Berg. Bad place to be.”

The camera zoomed in on the chaotic scene outside the ring as Prisoner #034291 easily tossed Hardy over the barricade and into the crowd.

Hall shook his head. “Real bad place to be, indeed.”

“Victoria McGill and Amberley Stanton will meet Tuesday night in the Carmondy Cup finals,” Thunderbolt declared, excitement evident in his voice. “But first, let’s send it backstage to Kellie Burkowski for some updates on tonight’s Heartland matches.”

Cut to Kellie Burkowski backstage, her blonde hair styled perfectly and a microphone in hand.

“Thanks, Thunderbolt. Kellie Burkowski here,” she began with a bright smile. “Two Heartland matches took place earlier tonight. First up, Felicia LaBarbara emerged victorious in a three-way contender’s match against ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin and Lisa Barbosa-Stevens. Felicia will now advance to a three-way number contender’s match on Tuesday night against Tammie Hardy and Lani Harlot.”

She paused for a moment before continuing.

“In the Men’s Heartland match, Randy Barrington pinned Matt Taylor to win another three-way contender’s match that also featured Absolute Zero. Barrington will face ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs and Buckshot Henderson in another three-way contender’s match on Tuesday night. That’s all for tonight’s updates. Back to you, Thunderbolt.”

Cut back to Thunderbolt and Hall at the broadcast desk.

“It certainly is,” Thunderbolt said, his eyes shining with anticipation. “This is the match we’ve all been waiting for. Heather Cooper… take it away.”

MAIN EVENT-CARMONDY CUP MEN’S SEMI-FINAL: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. Scott Stevens
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!  IT’S TIME FOR OUR MAIN EVENT!” Heather paused as the crowd rose to their feet.  “This is a Men’s Semi-Final match in the Carmondy Cup.  Introducing first…”

“’Redneck’ Bill Dickinson has had a great 2023,” Thunderbolt said.  “He is closing in on Charlie Blackwell’s 499-day record MVW title reign.  He will have to get past Luke Woods next Sunday at Night of Champions and then either Scott Stevens or The Masked Texan next month at the St. Louis Supershow to break Blackwell’s record.”

Hall, a seasoned commentator, chimed in with his own analysis. “Let’s not forget that Scott Stevens is a High Octane Wrestling legend, with two MVW Men’s Heartland championship titles under his belt. He’s definitely not someone to be taken lightly, and I’m surprised we don’t see R.G. Jenkins or Mark Hendry by Dickinson’s side tonight.”

Thunderbolt nodded in agreement as they watched Stevens make his way to the ring, accompanied by his teammates R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry. Dickinson’s allies were noticeably absent, leaving him to face his opponent alone.

“Good point,” Thunderbolt concurred. “All right, here we go!”

“OH MY GOD! UPSET! SCOTT STEVENS HAS DEFEATED THE MVW CHAMPION!” Thunderbolt exclaimed as Dickinson was counted out. Stevens celebrated his victory, taunting Sunny O’Callahan who had been cheering on Dickinson at ringside. But the celebration was cut short as Jenkins and Hendry rushed into the ring to join their victorious teammate.

Hall offered some insight.  “Stevens made an unexpected move – throwing Dickinson out of the ring and hitting him with his signature Toxic Sting move on the hard floor.  George Stevens dropped an elbow and time ran out on the MVW champion.

Thunderbolt then revealed the lineup for Tuesday night’s Carmondy Cup finals on Wrestling Night in the Heartland- a highly anticipated match between Scott Stevens and The Masked Texan. “And as if that wasn’t enough,” he added with a hint of excitement, “Stevens will also be challenging Michael Lee Best for the HOW World Title tomorrow night.”

As the Stevens Dynasty continued to celebrate in the ring, Thunderbolt signed off with one final reminder. “Here’s the lineup for Tuesday night,” Thunderbolt says.  “We will see you then.”
