News and Notes:
Two new champions. The Alabama Gang regained the Men’s title from the team who defeated them for the belts- Surf Express Bro.  Jennifer Colton wins the Women’s title at her fourth time of asking.

Bracken Krueger and Daryn Thompson will wrestle in the Men’s Tag Team division as No Quarter.  Ricky Stevens is the current #1 contender. Captain Jack and John O’Reilly will each move up one spot in the rankings.  Buckshot Henderson will be promoted into the Men’s Division at #4.

Also with Scott Stevens being away until August, Ken Kardoucheian moves up two places and becomes the new #1 contender in the Men’s Heartland Division.  Randy Barrington moves to #2, Absolute Zero #3, and both ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs and Matt Taylor move out of the Non-Division to fill out the top five contenders.

The Beer Bellied Softball Playin’ Ninja will be taking time off from wrestling and will be replaced by No Quarter (Krueger and Thompson).

MVW announced today that Cletus T. Johnson (one-time Men’s Tag Team champion with the Kentucky Redneck Mafia) will return and wrestle in the singles divisions.  Cletus will start off in the Non-Division.  Also signing today was Aaron Gray.  Gray comes to MVW from the Independent Western Wrestling World aka I3W.  Gray and Johnson will fill out the Non-Division spots when MVW action resumes at the end of July.

On the women’s side, Daryn Thompson’s move to the Men’s Tag Team division with Bracken Krueger means ‘The Shadow Warrior’ Shizuko Yamazaki- despite her recent loss to Lisa Barbosa-Stevens- will move into the #1 contender slot with Barbosa-Stevens #2, Debbie the Destroyer #3, and former Women’s champion Victoria McGill will be automatically promoted into the Women’s Division at #4.

McGill’s promotion means Yosemite Samantha becomes the new #1 contender in the Women’s Heartland Division with ‘The Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot moving to #2, Felicia LaBarbara #3, Amberly Stanton to #4, and Kelly Lynn Smith is promoted to #5 from the Non-Division and relinquishes the Bergman’s Barn Women’s Title.  The new Bergman’s Barn Women’s champion is Allison Chambers and she will take Smith’s spot in the Non-Division.

No changes in the Women’s Tag Team Division and Non-Division.

‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann on the Show
“I thought eleven matches were a bit much. Obviously, I wouldn’t have booked Ken Kardoucheian and Jill Berg Enterprises to lose.  I’m not sold on the Alabama Gang winning back the Men’s Tag title because I felt the Kardoucheian Empire should have been the ones challenging the surfin’ stoner brigade.  I thought the time on the early matches was actually reasonable though and the show still came in just a tick over two and a half hours.  That being said, I will say that Luke Woods really impressed me tonight.  Woods looks like he could be a potential star.  I’ve told Kris Kardoucheian that at some point, his sons have to start coming through.  Koley and Kourtney did.  Ken did not.  I would be stupid if I wasn’t thinking about Luke Woods in the SEC at some point if things don’t change.”

McMann on Tori McGill Joining JBE
“Yes.  Totally my idea.  Tori is a star.  She’s won the Women’s Title.  She’s won countless Women’s Heartland title.  Tori’s had a hell of a year but now she’s refocused and doing something her mother Dawn McGill would never do- embrace my brilliant vision of sports entertainment for MVW.  Tori can go places and I think talent-wise, she’s better than Jennifer Colton with the sports entertainment charisma to back it up.”

MVW Owner Ray McAvay
“Sell-out crowd.  Two big title changes.  Some really good matches.  And Mr. McMann didn’t come out here and crap all over it like he usually does.  It’s been a good night.”

‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall Reporting on Victoria McGill Rejoining Jill Berg Enterprises
Following Tori McGill’s shocking turn on new Women’s Champion Jennifer Colton on Saturday night, ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann AND CEO of Jill Berg Enterprises Jill Berg jointly announced after Wrestling Night in America that McGill would be re-signing with JBE.

It’s been over a year since McGill walked out on JBE after Berg tried to promote Victoria as the ‘Face of Jill Berg Enterprises.’  Mr. McMann wanted Tori back and found her very willing to put everything in the past behind her to return to JBE.  McMann convinced Berg to make the move.

Victoria McGill on Attacking Jennifer Colton
I stand before you today not as the person you once knew, but as a new force to be reckoned with.  Attacking Jennifer Colton was not an act of betrayal; it was an act of necessity. Sometimes, drastic measures are required and my assault on Jennifer Colton was a warning to all who have forgotten what it means to truly respect this sport.  Along with the Sports Entertainment Corporation, Jill Berg Enterprises and I will resurrect the true sports entertainment spirit of wrestling.

Jennifer Colton on Winning the Women’s Title
“Man, that was one heck of a match! I can’t even begin to describe the rush of emotions I felt when I pinned her down for the three-count. It was like a roller coaster of adrenaline, excitement, and pure determination.  I’ve dreamt about this moment my whole life. Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, I knew I wanted to make a name for myself here in Missouri Valley Wrestling.  Little did I know, my dreams would become a reality sooner than I expected.  To my family, who have all been my biggest cheerleaders, thank you for instilling in me the values of hard work and perseverance. You both taught me that with determination and dedication, anything is possible.”

Jennifer Colton on Tori McGill’s Attack
“At that moment, when the referee counted three and I saw the championship belt in my hands, I felt a wave of euphoria.  Then Victoria attacked me viciously as if she had been hiding her true intentions all along.  I never thought for a moment Victoria would betray me like this, and I’m still trying to make sense of it all.  But I’m not going to let it take away from one the biggest moments in my young pro wrestling career.”

The Alabama Gang Regain The Men’s Tag Team Title
R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry became two-time MVW Men’s Tag Team champions with their win over Surf Express Bro.

They also found out that they will be facing the sVo Tag Team champions Blood Money July 2nd in a PWA Tag Team #1 contender’s tournament.

R.G. Jenkins on the Win
“Wow, what a night! Y’all I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. We knew going into this match that the Surf Express Bro would be tough competition, but we never let doubt cloud our minds. Mark and I went out and fought like hell and we did it.”

Sunny O’Callahan (valet for the Alabama Gang)
“I am so proud of R.G. and Mark.  They bounced back after losing both the HOTv and MVW Tag Titles and took care of business tonight.”

‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson on Retaining the Men’s Title
“(Bracken) Krueger put up a helluva tough fight, and I got a lot of respect for him. It was a battle that reminded me why I do what I do but I ain’t done yet- my title run is far from over.  Yeah, I’m lookin’ at you Ricky Stevens, sucking up with Mr. McMann and those SEC folks.  I ain’t gonna let myself get lazy. I ain’t gonna rest on my laurels. Hell no.  Every night I go to the ring, I am the 330 Pound Southern Brawler and that’s what you’re gonna get no matter if it’s Krueger, Stevens, or who else shows up.”

Coach Reg of The Hanson Sisters on Retaining the Women’s Title
“I am beyond proud of Andrea and Melissa Hanson. And they kept the match under thirty minutes… actually under twenty.  Andrea and Melissa have put a ton of time into their training and it paid off tonight.  They didn’t beat just anyone tonight.  They beat Sheline Carrigan and Prisoner #034291- a very good tag team.  No doubt on this one.  Andrea and Melissa exemplify the true spirit of champions.  Their journey is far from over, and I am honored to be a part of it.”
