Thunderbolt and Hall recap Wrestling Night in the Heartland.
-#2 vs. #3 WOMEN’S TAG TEAM MATCH: The Working Girls (Caroline Lewis and ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris) defeated The Rose Warriors (Geena the Warrior Princess and Eliza Rose). With the win, The Working Girls move up to #2 in the rankings and will face Jill Berg Enterprises next Tuesday in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
-PROMOTION/RELEGATION MATCH-MEN’S TAG TEAM DIVISION: No Quarter (Bracken Krueger and Daryn Thompson) defeated The Shamrocks (Tom Flynn and Sean O’Grady). No Quarter is promoted to the Men’s Tag Team Division. The Shamrocks are relegated down to the Non-Division.
-MAIN EVENT-#2 vs. #3 MATCH-WOMEN’S DIVISION: #2 Shizuko Yamazaki defeated #3 Yosemite Samantha. Yamazaki maintains her #2 ranking and sets up a #1 contender’s match next week against Jill Berg Enterprise’s Victoria McGill.
MATCH #1: Jill Berg Enterprises (‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan and Prisoner #034291) vs. Bethany Stewart and Shelley Briscoe
-The opener proved to be an entertaining affair with Bethany Stewart and Shelley Briscoe out to make a point that they belong in the Women’s Tag Team Division. But in the end, Prisoner #034291 hit Briscoe with a Corner Hip Drop to give Jill Berg Enterprises the win.
Kellie Interviews Jill Berg in the ring
-Berg looks visibly annoyed at the fact that it took 15 minutes for her women to defeat Stewart and Briscoe. Berg tells Kellie that JBE expects results. Carrigan and Prisoner #034291 had better keep that in mind when they face the Working Girls next Tuesday night in Cedar Falls, Iowa. No one is expendable. Carrigan and Prisoner #034291 both appear pensive at Berg’s sharp remarks.
MATCH #2: The Alabama Gang (R.G. Jenkins, Mark Hendry, ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson) vs. Bo Bevans, Bob Zardoz, and John Wack
-Jenkins, Hendry, and Dickinson all got brief moments in the ring before the Men’s Champion finished off Zardoz with the Southern Fried Powerbomb.
Kellie reviews the Heartland Division matches over the weekend
-In the Women’s Heartland Division, Tammie Hardy secured her spot at #4 by defeating Lani Harlot on Friday night. However, she couldn’t maintain her momentum and lost to #3 Felicia LaBarbara the following night. LaBarbara is now set to face #2 Debbie the Destroyer this Friday night in Cape Girardeau, Missouri!
-In the Men’s Division, ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs defended his #4 ranking by defeating #5 Randy Barrington on Friday. But just like Hardy, Marrs fell short on Saturday when he faced off against #3 Absolute Zero. With that win, Absolute Zero will now challenge #2 Ken Kardoucheian this coming Friday

Back from commercial, the camera cuts backstage to reveal the wrestling pirate Captain Jack, dressed in his flamboyant attire, complete with a tricorn hat and an ostentatious feather. Beside him stands his fierce first mate, Elizabeth Swayne, her gaze as unyielding as the ocean itself. The pair stand tall, ready to cut a promo that will surely send shivers down the spines of their opponents.
“Ahoy there, me hearties!” Captain Jack exclaims, his voice booming across the room, capturing the attention of all present. He sways slightly, mimicking the mannerisms of his more famous counterpart, Captain Jack Sparrow. “Tonight, be prepared for the final duel of the evening, where I shall face off against the landlubber Cletus T. Johnson!”
Captain Jack pauses dramatically, a smirk playing across his lips. “But don’t ye worry, matey,” he says with a chuckle. “For when the dust settles, and only one man remains standing, that man will be me – Captain Jack! And ol’ Cletus can say he had the privilege of losing to the most fearsome pirate in all of MVW!”
He punctuates his declaration with a flourish of his hand and a wink to the camera, utterly confident in his abilities. Elizabeth Swayne nods in agreement, her piercing eyes never leaving the lens. She leans in closer, allowing her words to carry the weight they deserve.
“Captain Jack will make you die tonight,” she quotes, her voice low and menacing, referencing the epic Billy Joel classic. “Just a little push, and you’ll be flying.”
Cletus T. Johnson Promo
The scene shifts abruptly, the camera cutting away from Captain Jack and Elizabeth Swayne to reveal Cletus T. Johnson, one half of the tag team The Kentucky Redneck Mafia, leaning against a rough brick wall. His imposing frame is clad in worn denim overalls and a flannel shirt, his hands resting on his hips as he surveys the area with a steely gaze. Beside him stands his cousin Ginny Van Lear, a former MMA prodigy who hails from rural McDowell, Kentucky. Her arms are crossed over her chest, and she exudes an air of quiet determination.
“Y’know,” drawls Cletus, a slow smile spreading across his face, “I reckon there ain’t no pirates in Kentucky.” He chuckles, the sound deep and rich as molasses. “And after I get done with ol’ Captain Jack tonight, there ain’t gonna be any pirates left in MVW.”
Ginny nods her agreement, her eyes narrowing as she envisions the impending match. She can already taste victory – it’s sweet, like the homemade moonshine her family brews back home. And she knows that once Cletus unleashes his full power, nothing will stand in their way.
“Captain Jack best be ready for a good ol’ fashioned Kentucky beatdown,” Cletus continues, the fire of competition burning in his eyes. “Cause tonight, we’re gonna show these landlubbers what real fightin’ looks like.”
He pushes off from the wall, standing tall and proud, the very picture of a true warrior. With a knowing nod to Ginny, he issues his final challenge: “So, Captain Jack, how ’bout you join us for a little dance? A Kentucky Hoedown, if you will – but don’t expect to be standin’ once we’re through.”
