MATCH #2-NON-TITLE: Women’s Champion Jennifer Colton vs. Felicia LaBarbara
-Big night for Jennifer Colton as she returned to her hometown with her family at ringside. She eases past LaBarbara and now sets her sights on another upcoming battle against the SEC’s Victoria McGill at the Heartland Pay-Per-View.
Jill Berg Enterprises Appears
However, after the match Victoria McGill came out and marched down to ringside. Tori stayed out of the ring and stared at the Women’s Champion- keeping her attention. Suddenly, ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan and Prisoner #034291, both trying to curry favor with a very upset CEO of Jill Berg Enterprises- Jill Berg- climbed up onto the apron from behind with the apparently intention of a sneak attack on Colton. However, before Carrigan and Prisoner #034291 could climb through the ropes, both women were summarily pulled down from the apron to the floor. Who? Jake Colton- Jennifer’s father, Nate Colton- PRIME Wrestling, Dennis and Benny Colton- SHOOT Wrestling.
Victoria bade a hasty retreat to the back followed by Carrigan and Prisoner #034291. Kellie Burkowski rolled into the ring to join Jennifer and her family.
Kellie Burkowski Interviews Jennifer Colton in the Ring
-Kellie asks her how did it feel to wrestle in front of her hometown and in front of her family. Jenny says it’s a big thing but when she steps into the ring, it’s all business. She tells Kellie this is all great but her focus is on one person- Victoria McGill this Sunday at MVW’s Heartland Pay-Per-View.
Thunderbolt and Hall Run Down the Heartland Card
WOMEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: Amberly Stanton © vs. #1 Tammie Hardy
-Stanton seems to be the leader of a new crop of women wrestlers coming out of Joe Bergman’s Barn that includes Tammie Hardy. Hardy has caught fire winning four consecutive Heartland Division matches to earn a title shot at Heartland.
MEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: Luke Woods © vs. #1 Absolute Zero
-Luke Woods has his eyes higher up the ladder- hence why he is going to challenge Cletus T. Johnson (#4 ranked contender in the Men’s Division) for his spot in a promotion/relegation match. Absolute Zero has been red hot of late. Like Tammie Hardy, AZ has risen up from the depths of the rankings to gain a Men’s Heartland Title shot against Woods at Heartland.
WOMEN’S SPECIAL MATCH: Laney Harrison/McLean Oswald vs. LATX
-Why did Ray McAvay add this match? It’s a reward for both teams. Harrison and Oswald tripped up the #1 Women’s Tag Team contenders Tuesday night The Working Girls while LATX shocked Women’s Tag Team Champions The Hanson Sisters in their match. Yes, both wins were count-outs. But McAvay appreciated the effort in matches both teams could have just slept walked through… hence, they get matches at the Heartland Pay-Per-View.
MEN’S SPECIAL MATCH: PRIME’s Adam Ellis vs. Buckshot Henderson
-McAvay also likes to book these type of matches. Adam Ellis is a former MVW talent now working at PRIME. Ellis did not get a pay-per-view match at PRIME’s UltraViolence PPV so McAvay brought him in to face Buckshot Henderson. Henderson gets rewarded for his hard work in steadily moving up the rankings.
WOMEN’S TAG TEAM TITLE: The Hanson Sisters (Andrea and Melissa Hanson) © vs. #1 The Working Girls (Caroline Lewis and ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris)
-The Hansons have been champions since February after winning the belts from Jill Berg Enterprises. The Working Girls are former tag team champions who’ve really picked up their game over the past few months. Caroline Lewis and Leah Iris rededicated themselves to wrestling and got back into really good shape and the recent results reflect that. Can The Working Girls end The Hanson’s seven-month stranglehold on the Women’s Tag Team Titles?
MEN’S TAG TEAM TITLE: The Stevens Dynasty (Bo and George Stevens) © vs. #1 No Quarter (Bracken Krueger and Daryn Thompson)
-Bo and George put an end to The Alabama Gang’s second title run over two weeks ago to become the MVW Men’s Tag Team champions for the second time. They face a No Quarter team on Sunday who’ve bulldozed through the division. It shouldn’t be that surprising, both Bracken Krueger and Daryn Thompson made huge splashes when they joined MVW as singles wrestlers. Now teaming up again as No Quarter, Krueger and Thompson have run roughshod over some pretty good tag teams in the division. Can they make the Stevens Dynasty’s second title run a short one? Or will Bo and George Stevens be the brick wall that stops No Quarter’s run.
WOMEN’S TITLE: Jennifer Colton © vs. #1 Victoria McGill
-Colton burst onto the MVW scene and quickly ascended the rankings. In June, she defeated Daryn Thompson at Wrestling Night in America, becoming the Women’s Title holder. Since becoming champion, she has faced McGill only once, resulting in a double count-out last August. Victoria McGill, a former Women’s champion and 5-time Women’s Heartland Champion, had a rough start to the year with poor results. However, she worked her way back up the rankings after a brief stint in Japan and looks to regain the title she lost to Daryn Thompson back in January.
MEN’S TITLE: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson © vs. #1 John O’Reilly
-This will be a battle between two men who know each other inside and out. Dickinson defeated O’Reilly for his second run as Men’s Champion over a year ago and has simply dominated the division ever since. O’Reilly and Dickinson had a series of matches in December and January before O’Reilly fell back in the rankings behind Ricky Stevens and Captain Jack. Now, Captain Jack has fallen to the Men’s Heartland Division and O’Reilly defeated Stevens on Tuesday night to set him up with another run at Bill Dickinson.
Speaking of Bill Dickinson…
Kellie Interviews the Men’s Champion
-Bill doesn’t have much to say tonight. He wants to get through with Buckshot and then turn his full attention to John O’Reilly Sunday night at the Heartland Pay-Per-View.
MAIN EVENT-NON-TITLE: Men’s Champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. Buckshot Henderson
-Short, but fun, match between two men who won’t back down. Dickinson’s Southern Fried Powerbomb proves to be the difference and now he looks towards John O’Reilly at Heartland on Sunday.
RESULTS:
-#2 vs. #3-WOMEN’S DIVISION: #3 Yosemite Samantha defeated #2 ‘The Shadow Warrior’ Shizuko Yamazaki at 10:21
-NON-TITLE: Women’s Champion Jennifer Colton defeated Felicia LaBarbara at 3:05
-MAIN EVENT/NON-TITLE: Men’s Champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson defeated Buckshot Henderson at 5:32
